Phase II Benefits to Madeira

  • Secured Entry Way - spectators with be with a secured environment with better visitor/home traffic flow.
  • Handicapped Accessible Restrooms - with the 2007 addition of field turf there has been a significant increase in community usability, thus the need for restrooms inside the stadium became a priority.
  • New Concession Stands - allows the Madeira Athletic Boosters, Madeira Music Boosters and participant groups to sell more goods
  • Exposure - creates an opportunity to host regional athletic championships, concerts and multi-cultural events (to draw all residents of the community)
  • "Madeira" Brand - Current stadium structure does not exemplify the excellence and commitment of the Madeira community and its schools.

Community Feedback

"The turf field has been a wonderful addition for the schools and the community. Adding new handicapped accessible restrooms, concession areas and entry way would enhance the fan experience and give Madeira one more reason to be proud."
Steve Kramer, Superintendent Madeira City Schools

"The new turf has certainly eased our city's demand for field space. This, in turn, has enabled us to dramatically improve the condition of the fields in our parks. The completion of Phase II of the Madeira Stadium Renovation Project will be a positive addition for the schools as well as the city."
Sara Evans, Madeira City Council

"In many ways, like it or not, our stadium facility is the living room of our community. Athletes, parents and fans from all over the region travel to Madeira to attend sporting events and end up in our 'living room'. We have done an incredible job with the Phase I turf and scoreboard project. We now have a state of the art playing surface, but we shouldn't stop there. The entrance and concessions are also in desperate need of upgrades. We need first class structures to go with our first class field and first class community. A rusted out chain link fence shouldn't be the first impression when entering our 'living room'!"
John Cravaack, Lifelong Madeira Resident
